That's great to hear, really. Sometimes I worry about all of the above with her because religion is such a loaded topic, but with her background it just wouldn't make sense for her not to have some kind of relationship with faith and trying to negotiate it.

I'm more worried about how it can be a make or break weight, admittedly, but so far it seems to not conflict. Especially since it's helping me slow down any dramatic shift I might be tempted to do as she keeps encountering challenges to the faith or girl next door thing.
I think also there's a difference between changing on a surface level - like teen rebellion - and really being challenged and changing as a result, you know?
And now I've got more motivation again! Just as there's an epic Matthew post, too.
Yes! And that's exactly what I'm hoping for, because as tempting as the teenage rejection thing is, I think a deeper one makes better end results for reading/writing.
